The church functions best when we are all using our strengths and talents to serve one another. There are many areas to get plugged into serving and they vary in terms of time commitment and required skill sets. Below are some areas we are continually looking for help and we would love to partner with you to help discern where you would be a fit. If you are feeling a call on your life to become more engaged in the church in an active way, please fill out the form below and we will connect you to the relevant ministry leader. If you are not sure, just select a few areas that are of interest with you and we will be in contact with you.

+ HOSPITALITY

Through the hospitality ministry we aim to help visitors feel valued and welcomed. We do this in a variety fo ways and we would like you invite you to join our hospitality team as we work to create a warm, safe and friendly environment for the community to come to know Jesus, and become fully engaged in His life and mission.

Here are a few of the ways you could partner with us:

Join the “Coffee Crew"

Serve once a month on Sunday 9am - 9:45am making coffee and setting up the meet and greet space for others to enjoy.

Become a “Greeter”

Greet those attending the service - show up 15 minutes early to the service you attend and welcome those attending with a smile.

Serve at the Welcome Desk

Come 15 minutes early, and stay 15 minutes after service and stand behind the welcome desk, assisting individuals with information regarding the church. (we supply you with the information needed to share).

+ YOUTH MINISTRY

Middle School and/or High School Youth Leader

Students are growing up in a crazy world. They need caring adults to come alongside them as they navigate through their formative years of middle school and high school. Youth Leaders are committed to continually engage with students in the life and mission of Jesus. Simply put—they pursue Jesus together.

Youth Leaders participate in:

  • Weekly YG gatherings
  • Weekend events
  • Overnight retreats
  • One-on-one discipleship

Special Event Helper

A big part of youth ministry is special events. Whether it’s a Blazer game in Portland or a BBQ in the church lawn, our special events sometimes require a bit of extra help. Preparing food, shuttling students, or simply being an extra set of eyes are some low-challenge areas of occasional service.

Prayer Partner

Prayer is essential for effective ministry and the more prayer, the better. As a Prayer Partner, we would ask that you are intentional about praying for our students, for our leaders, and for our ministry. Monthly Mail Chimps will be sent out highlighting our current needs and prayer requests.

If any of these areas of service are of interest to you, please contact the office.
